Terms of use
Updated on 7 October 2026
This is a translation for convenience. The French version prevails.
eNotif is published by Sahelab. These terms apply to anyone who uses the app (Android or web version) and to any developer who uses the console or the API. By using eNotif, you accept them.
1. What eNotif does
eNotif provides a proof: a person who controls a trusted phone approved a request. What that approval allows (a sign-in, a payment, a password change) is decided by the app that asked for it, under its own responsibility. eNotif knows neither your passwords, nor your balances, nor your orders.
2. For people
Your account
- It is linked to a number that belongs to you and to one trusted phone. Do not create an account with someone else’s number.
- Your @handle must not imitate another person, a brand or the eNotif team. It can change once every 30 days.
- Keep your phone locked. If you lose it, recovery on a new phone takes a security delay during which the old one is warned and can cancel.
Requests
- Read who is asking and why before approving. Never approve a request you did not start yourself, even if someone asks you to on the phone.
- Tap This wasn’t me if a request surprises you: it is denied and reported to the team.
Short messages
- No harassment, threats, scams, illegal content or bulk messages. A message from a stranger lands in “Requests”; you can block anyone.
- We may limit or suspend an account that abuses, after a report.
3. For developers
Account and review
- The developer account is created with a verified e-mail or with eNotif. The information given (name, company, country) must be accurate.
- Every account is reviewed by the team. Meanwhile, the sandbox is open; production (
sk_live_keys) opens on approval. A refusal is explained, by e-mail.
Your obligations
- Accurate name and logo. Your app carries the name and logo your users know it by. The “verified” check is only given after review.
- No phishing, no impersonation. Only send a request for a real action, tied to the person’s account with you, and describe it honestly (title, message, context). Never pose as another app, a bank, a carrier or eNotif.
- Transactional messages only. The eNotif inbox is for messages about the person’s account or an operation (“Your order is ready”). No prospecting, advertising or newsletters.
- No flooding. Respect the API limits; do not try to get around them (several apps, several keys).
- Security. Keep your keys and webhook secret server-side, verify webhook signatures, revoke an exposed key.
- Data. Only use the answers and identifier you receive for your service. Do not try to match a person across apps. Tell your users you use eNotif, in your own privacy policy.
- Fallback. Provide another way to confirm (your usual SMS) when a person does not have eNotif or does not answer.
Suspension
We may suspend an app or a developer account, immediately if people’s safety requires it: repeated “This wasn’t me” reports, phishing, prospecting, getting around limits, false information, an unpaid plan. The suspension is explained by e-mail; you can reply to ask for a new review.
Plans
Paid plans may apply to production. Their prices and quotas are shown in the console before any commitment; payment is made outside the app, by reference, and validated by the team. The sandbox is never limited by a plan.
4. Availability and liability
We do everything to keep the service available and fast, without being able to guarantee it will never be interrupted: mobile networks, notifications and phones are partly beyond our control. eNotif is not responsible for what an app decides to do after an approval, nor for losses caused by a trusted phone left unlocked or handed to someone else.
5. Stopping
You can stop at any time: delete your account, or delete your apps and developer account from the console.
6. Changes
We may change these terms. A significant change is announced in the app, or by e-mail to developers, before it applies.
